Who is responsible?

Japan Motor Hub Ltd operates JDM4U and is the controller for personal data it processes through this site. It is registered in England and Wales under company number 17466092 at 1 Grizedale Grove, Narborough, Leicester, England, LE19 3YU. For privacy questions or requests, email info@japanmotorhub.co.uk.

Browser storage and the Garage

My Garage stores selected model IDs and your motion preference in this browser's local storage. The import guide also saves the six progress-checklist choices in local storage. A short session storage setting remembers whether you have seen or dismissed the site note. These choices stay on your device until you clear site data; session storage normally ends with the browser session. JDM4U does not automatically send your shortlist, checklist or these preferences to us.

The portal is a visual preview. It has no email or password field, does not create an account and does not send portal activity to us. JDM4U's own scripts in this release do not set marketing or analytics cookies or run site analytics.

Website delivery and external media

When you visit, our hosting provider receives technical request information such as your IP address, browser details and the pages or assets requested so it can deliver the site and protect it from misuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in providing and securing the website. Operational or security logs, if retained, are kept only as needed for those purposes and under the provider's applicable retention arrangements.

Some reference images load from third-party services such as Wikimedia Commons. Your browser connects to that service to retrieve the image, so that service may receive technical request information under its own privacy notice. Links to manufacturers, source material and social platforms take you to their own websites.

Contact and enquiries

JDM4U's contact route takes you to the separate Japan Motor Hub contact page. Your Garage shortlist is not sent there automatically. If you choose to copy a brief or send us an enquiry after opening JMH Contact, Japan Motor Hub uses the details you provide to respond and discuss your request. Your choices and rights

You can clear JDM4U's saved Garage, import checklist and motion preference using your browser's site-data controls. Where we hold personal data in website security records or correspondence, data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, depending on the circumstances. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Contact us at the email above to make a request.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you have concerns about how your data is handled. Please contact us first if you would like us to resolve an issue.

Changes

We will update this page when the site or its data handling changes. Any future account, analytics or enquiry feature will need its own clear explanation before use.
