Toyota Voxy 80 Series

A sharper face.
A useful cabin.

Toyota launched the redesigned Voxy in Japan on 20 January 2014, through its Netz dealer channel, alongside the Noah. Toyota gave Voxy a different front design and separate grade names. At launch its 2.0-litre petrol range used Super CVT-i with seven- or eight-seat, front- or four-wheel-drive combinations. A 1.8-litre full hybrid was scheduled for 14 February; Toyota’s initial hybrid table lists seven-seat front-wheel-drive Voxy grades.

01

Check the Voxy grade

The 2014 Voxy table includes petrol X, V and ZS and hybrid X and V examples. ZS had an aero-style, wider-body treatment in the launch description. Confirm the exact grade and physical dimensions of the individual car.

02

Do not swap petrol and hybrid facts

Toyota’s launch petrol used 2.0-litre 3ZR-FAE and Super CVT-i; the hybrid used 1.8-litre 2ZR-FXE and THS II. The initial hybrid table lists seven seats and front-wheel drive, while petrol combinations are broader.

03

Use the seating arrangement

Seven-seat versions offered long-sliding captain’s chairs. Check the actual second-row layout, third-row fold, door operation and any options, rather than assuming every Voxy shares the press car’s equipment.

04

Keep model identity intact

The Voxy and Noah share much of the package but their styling and Japanese grade names differ. Check that the seller’s images, documents and chassis information agree.

From model
to actual car.

Use the generation as a starting point, then verify the vehicle and its route to UK registration.

Check the car: Ask for the exact Voxy grade, original Japanese paperwork and chassis details. Match the pictures to the model and check the actual body width against your parking needs, particularly for an aero grade. Inspect seat and sliding-door operation on the chosen vehicle.

Plan the UK route: The UK import route depends on the individual vehicle. Obtain insurance and cost estimates for its actual powertrain and build details, and check the current customs, approval or exemption and DVLA process on GOV.UK before committing. GOV.UK’s current vehicle-import guide ↗
