NISSAN / NOTE E12 / JAPAN

NISMO S.
The manual one.

A small hatch with a precise identity: the Japan-market Note NISMO S, NISMO-tuned HR16DE petrol engine and five-speed manual.

Manufacturer specifications · no stock implied

Nissan announced the range on 9 October 2014; Japanese sales began on 10 October. Revised NISMO and NISMO S models went on sale on 12 December 2016. These events do not establish when NISMO S sales ended.

The badge needs context.

NISMO S

The petrol car here combines HR16DE with 5MT. Nissan’s specification table lists front ventilated discs, rear discs and 205/45R17 84W tyres.

NISMO and e-POWER

The HR12DDR NISMO uses CVT. The separately named e-POWER NISMO S is another powertrain: do not transfer its figures, controls or equipment to this manual car.

Archived tables describe their stated variants. They do not prove identical equipment across every model year or the condition of a particular import.

Turn a listing into evidence.

  1. Match the Japanese type designation, build date and paperwork to the car. Request engine-bay and pedal photographs rather than relying on an exterior badge.
  2. Check clutch operation and gear selection during a suitable inspection. Compare the fitted tyres and brakes with the documented specification; modifications need their own evidence.
  3. Ask for service records, the auction report where available and clear condition photographs. Confirm the fuel guidance and the vehicle’s actual registered mass.
