TOYOTA / VELLFIRE / 2015 REDESIGN

Toyota Vellfire 30 Series

The bolder face of Toyota's 2015 premium MPV pair. Identify the Vellfire's own grade before treating a brochure feature as fitted.

Manufacturer-based generation guide · no stock implied

Start with
the right car.

The redesigned Vellfire launched in Japan on 26 January 2015 alongside the Alphard. Toyota gave it a distinct exterior and its own X, Z, V, ZA, VL and ZR grade names. The launch table covered 2.5-litre petrol, 3.5-litre V6 and 2.5-litre hybrid models, with different transmissions and seat layouts. This is a generation overview, not a description of a car in stock.

01

Identify the actual Vellfire

The Alphard shares architecture but not the Vellfire's exterior identity or grade names. Compare the Japanese paperwork, front and rear photographs and grade badge before choosing a guide.

02

Read the powertrain table

A 2.5 petrol Vellfire is a different proposition from the launch 3.5 V6 or E-Four hybrid. Ask for a grade and engine code rather than inferring the engine from appearance.

03

Decide which second row you need

Toyota's launch table spans seven- and eight-seat variants. Photograph the actual row, check third-row access and operate any promised powered equipment.

Check the build date, Japanese grade, chassis/type code and fitted equipment. No engine, seating, drive or feature should be copied into a vehicle advert without matching evidence.

Turn research
into proof.

Use the guide to ask precise questions about a real car. Review its records and inspect the actual vehicle before a buying decision.

  1. Check grade, engine, drive and seat count against the Japanese plate and matching period material.
  2. Look for original auction or condition reports and a clear service trail.
  3. Test sliding doors, cameras and seat motors only where the advert says they are fitted.
  4. Confirm UK insurance, import and registration requirements for this exact vehicle.

State whether the appeal is the Vellfire's design, its seating, a particular petrol engine or the hybrid system. Supply the build year and evidence for a candidate car.
